Students Studying Outdoors

In the digital world that we live in, we often feel lonely and disconnected from others.  As part of our college experience, we expect to engage with our peers, attend events, and perhaps, if we're lucky, make lasting friendships.

But when your peers are spread out all over the country, and even abroad, how do you make connections? How can we feel less lonely and more connected when attending an online school?

I strongly encourage you to be proactive and put some effort into making connections, if that's something that's important to you. You have to be much more intentional than if you were attending a traditional brick-and-mortar school. We all know that in a brick-and-mortar school, connections happen naturally through conversations with classmates sitting next to you, in lounges, the library, cafeterias, and at in-person events.

Luckily, at SNHU, there are ways to connect with your peers outside of the classroom. This is where SNHUconnect comes in. Through this platform, you are able to join groups, clubs, and organizations. It is a fantastic way to connect with others who have similar interests as you.

Additionally, you can attend the university's many online student-focused events. Did you know that?
