Hello
A Bit About Me
As a lifelong New Yorker, raised in Brooklyn, NY, I’ve been living in South Carolina with my husband since 2023. I absolutely love the warmer weather and slower pace of life that comes with living in the south.
Prior to becoming an academic advisor at Southern New Hampshire University, I worked in several roles in both psychology research and the human services field. My experience includes serving as an Infant-Child Specialist at Bellevue Hospital in New York City, where I helped promote language and literacy development in children under three through the Bellevue Project for Early Language, Literacy and Education Success (BELLE); a Research Analyst for studies focused on trauma memories in PTSD and alcohol dependence at the Medical University of South Carolina; a Service Coordinator for New York City's Early Intervention Program; and a Human Subjects Coordinator for various psychology research studies conducted in the Department of Psychology at New York University.
Due to my background in psychology and my professional experiences, I have a strong understanding of how to support students pursuing Psychology and Human Services degrees. I also have a broad understanding of the social sciences and enjoy supporting students in Anthropology, Criminal Justice, Political Science, and Sociology as they work toward their academic goals.
In my spare time, I enjoy watching movies/shows, taking long walks, and discovering new places. I am a big fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
A fun fact about me is that I spent eight months traveling and volunteering across South America in my 20s. The journey took me through Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, and Peru, and it completely broadened my view on how others live in the world.

Advice to Students
Don’t rush through your degree, especially if you are trying to balance work, family life, school, and maintain your personal wellbeing. Take your time to enjoy the journey and absorb the lessons. You will get to the finish line with patience. Obtaining your college degree is a marathon, not a sprint, so pace yourself.
